After obtaining his PhD in machine learning in 4 years but with more than 20 publications, Ricky started his career at Morgan Stanley’s equity trading lab (ETL). He has been managing portfolios and research teams since 2014. Ricky found Occudo Quantitative Strategies LP in 2020, and have been managing quant portfolio with the peak authorized GMV of $3.3B.
Academically, Ricky’s research has over 1000 external citations with a H-index of 15. He was also granted as EB1-A, or Alien of Extraordinary Ability, by the US government. He also served as the associate editor for ACM Transactions on Knowledge Discovery from Data. Ricky also won the silver medal in in Guangdong Province Olympiad Physics Competition in 2001, and the 6th place of the ACM ICPC Programming Contest in Guangdong Province in 2006.
J.P. is an accomplished finance professional with over 24 years of experience across hedge funds, capital markets, and prime brokerage. Most recently, he served as Head of Portfolio Finance and Treasury at Norias Capital Management, a market-neutral equity hedge fund employing a systematic approach to portfolio construction.
Prior to Norias, J.P. was a Vice President at Fidelity Investments and part of a seven-member team responsible for launching the firm’s Prime Brokerage platform in 2004. Over the next 18 years, he played a key role in expanding the platform while developing deep expertise in securities finance, brokerage operations, margin, risk, and regulatory collateral management. He also contributed to the development and evolution of PB Optimize, Fidelity’s proprietary treasury and brokerage management system.

We have an internal point-based evaluation system that will give you credit for any task, most of which might not even be related to PNL. Your final compensation will be generally determined by your relative points and the firm’s overall performance. We don’t endorse “leader takes all/most”, and we have zero tolerance for bureaucracy.
